WHAT is
Tiger Day?

Tiger Day is a spring festival and carnival for the students of GMS, celebrated each year right before Spring Break.

During the Tiger Day event, teachers and PTA parent volunteers organize and run carnival booths, games, inflatables, and a snack area throughout the afternoon.

100% of all proceeds from wristband sales, donations, and business sponsorships go directly to the school following the event.  Money raised from the event funds specific teacher and classroom needs and any other major schoolwide program approved by Dr. Mitchell.

WHO organizes
Tiger Day?

Your PTA and parent volunteers organize Tiger Day. For more information regarding Tiger Day please email one of the  PTA Tiger Day coordinators.

Local businesses also lend a hand by providing gift cards and give-a-ways for student door prizes or event supplies.  Contact Rena Alderson to donate gift cards for door prizes.

PLUS many local businesses become sponsors as Partners in Education by making monetary contributions and in-kind donations to help offset the costs of bigger activities such as the Hamster Balls, a rock wall, and the mechanical bull.

Please email the PTA Partners in Education Coordinator or the GMS PTA President for questions regarding sponsorship.

Tiger Day is for all students and all grade levels.  It’s a chance for the students, faculty and staff to interact with each other in a positive, fun and safe environment while raising money.

100% of the money raised goes directly to fund teacher funding requests like curriculum needs, technology, classroom supplies, professional development, and field trips. This year, a portion of the proceeds will be going toward a new marquee that is being built in the front of the school.
