GMS PTA Privacy Policy
This Policy covers how we treat personal information that we collect or receive from you when you use our website. “Personal Information” is information about you that is personally identifiable like your name, address, email address, and/or phone numbers.
This Policy does not apply to the practices of companies and/or other entities that the Gorzycki PTA does not own or control, to people that are not Gorzycki PTA volunteers, and/or to operators of sites to which you may link from the Gorzycki PTA site.
Data and Information Collection and Use
The Gorzycki PTA collects information from and about you when you register as a Member and when you use the GMS PTA website. Users who visit the site do not need to provide any Personal Information. The Gorzycki PTA does, however, collect limited, non-personally identifying information from non-registered users that browsers make available whenever a user visits a website. This information includes your internet protocol address, browser type, browser language, cookies, and user patterns.
When you register as a Member, we ask for information such as your name, address, email address, and student names. The GMS PTA uses the information we collect for the following purposes: to fulfill requests for membership (to Texas PTA and ultimately National PTA), to improve our website, and to be able to contact you. Personal Information collected and reported to the Texas and National PTA organizations is governed by the National PTA Privacy Policy.
Information Sharing and Disclosure
The GMS PTA does not rent, sell, share, or otherwise disclose Personal Information about you with other people or non-affiliated organizations.
Information Security
The GMS PTA takes appropriate physical and electronic measures to protect against unauthorized access to, alteration of, and disclosure of Personal Information. Our website is scanned on a regular basis for security holes and known vulnerabilities in order to make your visit to our site as safe as possible. We do not use Malware Scanning. Your personal information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential.
Cookies
The GMS PTA does not set and access “cookies” on your computer. A “cookie” is a small file containing a string of characters that is sent to your computer when you visit a website.
Your Ability to Edit and Delete Account Information
You may edit your member account and related Personal Information at any time by contacting membership@tigerpta.org. You may unsubscribe to our newsletter communications at any time by using the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of the email.
Changes to this Policy
The GMS PTA may update and change this Policy at any time. All updates and changes will be posted on this web page. We will notify you directly if we make significant changes to this Policy.
