Your PTA donations will help us reach our goal of $100,100 and provide:

CSI(Creative Solution Innovation) Class: the GMS students learn critical thinking skills and strategies for implementing new ideas. This year the requests are for an air hockey table, foose ball table, and a ping pong table
Theater Arts Class: black box theater, portable lighting system, stage curtains, moveable seating, construction costs, outdoor amphitheater
Technology Class: enhancement funds for the Gorzycki Preparatory Academy-PR campaign (web design, bumper stickers, creating a logo and school shirts)
Athletics: sprinkler system for the soccer fields to maintain the grounds
Instructional Materials: two class sets of Apple ipads (60 ipads, 30 per class)
GMS Marquee: an external marquee to display upcoming events and accolades that take place at Gorzycki Middle School

"As our dedicated and invaluable PTA kicks off its "Loving Our School " giving campaign I wanted to share some thinking behind the school's current needs and requests.

In the January 2012 Principal's meeting Dr. Carstarphen shared with us that the prognosis for the 2013 Legislature to support additional funding for education is dim In fact, it is anticipated that further reduction in funding for education is probable. The message was clear that schools need to be doing their fiscal planning for the year 2013 now. The Fall Edition of the PTA Tiger Tales Newsletter is now available!

Box Tops for Education and Campbell's Labels for Education programs here at Gorzycki are still going strong! These programs earn cash for our school through the submission of box tops or UPCs from some of your favorite grocery items. So far we have earned $884 for GMS! Clip and save from participating products, then place in the box in the front office with the Labels and Box Tops logos on the top. Please note that the Boxtops have an expiration date on them and are not valid once that date has passed. It's disappointing to get a large bag of boxtops submitted only to discover that half of them are already expired and must be thrown away.

These programs are both ongoing so there is no deadline or need to save up a certain amount.
